Travel Essentials: Skin

When the heat index is 104 degrees and there is literally a town in the Caymans called Hell, what do you bring to survive the heat? For my tropical vacay, I wanted to make sure I could tame my combo skin, protect myself from the sun and moisturize after salt water and chlorine exposure. 

Face: Laneige’s Pore Care Trial Kit kept my oily t-zone in check, and I didn’t regret leaving my Ole Henriksen products at home. Also, their Sleeping Mask is luxurious and hydrating but wasn’t TSA-approved-so I left it behind. I also brought Tatcha’s Deep Cleanse and Glamglow Instamud because, why tf not. 

Sun Safety: I cashed in some points and grabbed the SuperGoop Defense Refresh Setting Spray, which was perfect for making my light makeup matte before sitting poolside. Note: the spray has a medicinal smell but it dissipates quickly. 

Pool and beach bag items: You will have to pry my Evian Mineral Water Facial Spray from my cold, dead hands! I don’t care how ridiculous it sounds, I love this stuff on a hot day. You go from looking like a beached whale, crisping under the hot sun to rich, fancy lady on a yacht when you apply it.
